O “Hamlet” de William Shaskespeare fala da questão do que é ser um ser humana através da absoluta verdade da vida e morte. Neste vídeo é usado um excerto da Tragédia, o monólogo introspectivo do próprio Hamlet, de forma a colocar este tema num contexto contemporâneo. O monólogo funciona como uma banda sonora do vídeo que por sua vez toma acção num edifício modernista da autoria de Mies Van der Rohe. As personagens vestidas de preto entram dentro de um jogo social, onde os típicos comportamentos e interacções de eventos sociais públicos tomam o centro da acção. Estes mesmos são confrontados com uma projecção de um filme de Super 8mm de uma criança a brincar com pedras e flores numa paisagem bucólica. A criança olha diversas vezes para a audiência para descobrir que eles não tem qualquer interesse nele ou na sua presença, pelo contrário, apenas estão interessados nas suas interacções sociais ou mesmo sexuais. Quando eles todos deixam a sala de projecção a criança fica sozinha a arrancar flores do campo.
A relação que se estabelece entre o monólogo cruel e trágico de Hamlet justaposto à acção do vídeo torna-se uma reflexão sobre a básica condição humana, onde as personagens pelas suas características deixam ao público o espaço para a sua própria conclusão.

William Shakespeare’s, “Hamlet” questions the idea of the human being beyond criticism and the truth of life and death. An excerpt of Hamlet’s internal dialogue; his introspection makes up the text for this video. The action takes placed in a modern building of Mies Van der Rohe, where guests in all black attire socialize with one another expressions all the movements one has when attending events such as this, i.e., parties, funerals, openings, opera, etc. They in turn are confronted with a Super 8mm film of a child in the landscape. The child looks at the audience only to find them interested not in the film but in each other and themselves. When they live the projection room the film continuous with the little boy left alone in a beautiful landscape looking at some flowers.
The relationship between the text and the picture (monologue/tragedy) allows countless interpretations and eve oscillates in the nature of each character, so the interaction of all the situations that all these people will be and also will act are confronted with a real cruel and critic text that talks about the human being. The viewer is left to connect his own conclusions.
